So, we got alittle snow last week. We had a blizzard in old A-Town and got 19 inches of snow in 24 hours. When I woke up, all my windows looked like this.
And my porch looked like this.
Some were oblivious to the blizzard stacking 4ft. drifts all around my house, but I won’t name any names.
And even though I would have loved to curl up with a good book by the fire, my punks had other plans. It didn’t take long for them to get out in the middle of all of it.
Cisco had to get out and play too. He loves the snow.
Thinking I could get them to be alittle productive I tossed the snow shovel out to them,
but somehow shoveling the sidewalk turned into bury your brother in the snow.
Concerned that my oldest could not breathe under the snow, I ran out screaming like any distressed woman who had spent 20 hours of her life bringing forth this child into the world would. His only response to my distress was this.
Anyways, they had loads of fun and got 2 snows days out of the deal. It was a welcome break and a time to slow alittle bit. I know we’ll have to make those days up, but sometimes the best breaks are the unexpected ones, you know?
